McGorty, 6.4/165, biggest, heaviest distance elite runner at 5000/10,000?

He is tall but not especially heavy for his heigh.

BMI under 20, which is common among distance runners.

I don't believe he is 6'4".

He may be a huge monster but if you saw him at a wedding you would only think he was tall and lean.

he's not a monster, but he's a big guy. wide shoulders. larger than the avg person with his height/weight measurements.

I think Solinsky was only 6'0" (or 6'1") but also 165 so he was denser.

Ghost is so obsessed with men's size. McGorty is a normally built dude. You have some intense dysmorphic tendencies if you think he is a "huge monster".

These "big" distance runners only look this way because they're pictured around midgets.

Back in the day I thought Dixon, Herb, Deek, Salazar and a few others were big until I stood next to them. Rodgers was exactly what I thought from photos, and Shorter was larger than I'd thought. Cram was another who was just like in photos, Said a bit smaller. Even Ben Johnson wasn't as big as you thought.

The average American male is 5'9 and 180ish libs.

The average distance runner is probably 5'7 and 140ish. Ok, I may be off but, closer to hobbits than Sean McGorty, which is why anyone on here would think he's a "monster."

Ghost1 calls every good runner a “monster” or even a “lady monster,” so I wouldn’t think too much of that usage here. He’s not saying McGorty is fat or “too big,” but the simple undeniable fact is that he’s taller and weighs more than almost all distance runners at his level. It’s a fair, if ultimately somewhat inane observation.
