The New York times goes home devastated
The entire rag should be shuttered. Its been reduced to the media arm of the Dem/FBI/CIA/DOJ/NSA weaponized propaganda arm of the Deep State.
Misinformation is the only thing that comes from the NYT.
This past year USATF eliminated the journalism function and canned the media department slaraied staff and replaced them with Nike Advertising infomercials..
Soon GPT AI promises to shutter the surviving 400 staff writers at The Athletic.

That's not completely true. The New York Times is just swapping it's own sports department for the sports department of The Athletic. They will still have sports coverage, just different reporters will be doing the coverage.
Less competition is always bad, but I'm not sure what lrc has to do with sports anyway.

Yes everyone's favorite race is when there's only one entry
National Geographic got rid of staffers recently.
For years National Geographic has been using locals to take DSLR and MILC pictures then farming out to cheap Estonia for image edits. National Geographic saves a ton of money that way.

What's your source of information? Zerohedge? 🤣
The NYT is actually very centrist. Because it doesn't allow certain narratives to go unchecked, chuckleheads like you think it is "fake news."
My sources are the NYT, The Economist, and the WSJ. All are centrist, fair, and balanced.
WSJ is a good source; zerohedge is good as well. The NYT's reporting is typically factually accurate but very woke.
This hell site NEEDS a 'Threads-like' challenge from someone who will duplicate the good aspects of this place and scrub it of the right-wing and Q-aligned conspiracy trolls. I'd hang out at such a place FAR more than I do here anymore.
The elite runners and coaches who despise LRC for its toxicity and avoid it like the plague would also show up in significant numbers at such a site.
The parallels to Musk/Twitter are obvious to anyone paying attention. I would imagine that the BroJos and their idiot mods are too Musk-y, too blinded by their bro-style contrarianism and affinity for authoritarianism to see.
People read sports articles? For what purpose? And people get paid to write them? Just watch the youtube video of the race you find interesting, what else could you possibly want to know lol.
Going to the NYT for sports coverage was a bit like checking out the WSJ for the latest trends in hip hop. And there are oodles of sport and team specific websites, some good, some filled with 7th grade level grammar and spelling with a similar maturity level on editorial policy, that people turn to for the latest. NYT is better off spending their money on investigative reporters instead of having some Columbia School of Journalism grad trying to elevate sports writing with vivid descriptions of MMA fights.

Lol most posters are libs these days. I wish it was more right wing than it is.
Interesting thread.
I just wanted to say that before a mod deletes it for absolutely no reason.
