Major kudos to Athing for running the final.
And she did a lot better in it than I thought she would.
The endurance will only help her in the 800 at Worlds.

great, now i assume we will get Astro on here talking about how Mu must be doping because her coach has a shady af past
guys this is the biggest scandal in T&F history, don't you know?!
Yes, and what a range!
49 400m speed, 1:55 in the 88 and now 4:04 the 15?! Wow!!
That is not his only nickname. But I say go pro and let the chips fall. I would not want to be in a close 1500m race with Mu.
Yes!!! The range is amazing!
Congratulations Mu!
Nah. Could not care less. Sydney and Mu have the right idea to be honest. But some Soviet era records are going down.

Kersey the Chemist lol
But she's not a boy.
This is why everyone gets so pissed when she doesn’t race. Because when she does race, it’s awesome! Insane talent! Also she looked absolutely sick in that black and gold Nike kit.

I am having a hard time understanding the point you are trying to make. Can you clarify your opinion?
Hassan 800m to marathon at world class level is kind of amazing. 400 to 1500 is kind of expected If you spend the time training for one of the distances
Don't get me wrong it's a great result, but just saying that most people who are amazing at the 800 meters can be pretty good at 400 or 1,500.
OK, I understand this point. Hassan is a freak. But 400-1500 range at a WC standard level is pretty rare. Are there any other runners this year who could conceivably meet the 400, 800, and 1500 WC standard this year? I honestly don't know.
Caster Semenya is a biological male. Some of you need an education
Kersee also making her want to run today in a race she was certainly not expected to win is a great sign. Remember how hard she took Millrose. Not just dropping out but admitting she had to go through some soul-searching, and rewatch her other races to remind herself she was great. Now she was pumped about finishing second. Sub-1:55 might be back on the table.
Which Soviet era records are you talking about?
Caster has a Y chromosome.
Mu does not.
Mu competes in the Women's classification.
Caster is now only allowed to compete in the open (Men's) category.
.... Doesn't matter, Mu will soon have faster PRs than Semenya regardless.
