What now? It’s always something
Total headcase.
posted couple days ago she was feeling burned out from running and took couple days off and swam/ biked.
at this point I think her heart is in the triathlon. She might as well just go ahead and make the move.
Her insta story had her arriving at the track for the race. I wonder if she missed the lineup or something??
Wasn't she just jumping up and down the other day in an interview?
Kind of awkward how the commentators were talking about her even though she isn't in the race.
Weird. She posted several videos TODAY that indicated she was in Eugene and was going to race. She also said her sister would be outside the stadium selling T-shirts for "The Track Collective" that is raising money to donate to athletes who are unsponsored to help with their expenses "because I'm going to be at the track getting ready for my race." I love that she is helping others but I still can't understand why she is not running. She literally posted at 2:20 pm that she was going to race.
Humility.
Down goes Frierichs.
Unless you want to be confused as a way of showing disapproval, it’s easy to figure out- she has been dealing with an injury, she tried to give it a go, and wasn’t feeling good enough to start. Game time decision. I don’t know this- but it’s a reasonable guess. A tough athlete ( who also tries to make a living through being visible- but doesn’t make her any less talented or tough).
Quigley just posted in her Instagram stories that she is having issues with her hip.
It’s so weird that if she was close enough to not racing that all it took was feeling a twinge on the warmup to be posting about racing on social media. Maybe she was trying to psych herself up to race? Not sure how a professional athlete can be so fragile that gutting out a 10 minute race is going to permanently damage their body. Similar to how she posted about being ready to make her 2nd Olympic team and then scratched less than two weeks later.
that was straight up obnoxious
She has had a hip stress fracture before, which is a scary injury. She could be worried that she has a stress reaction in the hip, and was hopping a week of no running would have helped it. If she felt the pain on the warm up, it’s a sure fire sign something is seriously wrong. This is an injury that you definitely DON’T run on, even for 1 mile.
Simone Biles of the track world
Two incredibly talented, inspiring ladies!
Might be time to go all in on triathlon. I’m a Quigley fan but she is just too far removed from the top end of the sport at this point. We are seeing a changing of the guard with a lot of young talent coming up. I won’t be surprised if Coburn and Frerichs both fail to make the Oaris squad.
This post was removed.
She became a social media personality who races 2-3 times a year in 2020? It’s been a while. She’s getting paid regardless but if she raced at US champs she would be destroyed. Smart move on her part to scratch and still generate an income up until the hour before. Savvy. I admire her the way you do a thief. Excellent work
She doesn’t run for Nike any longer, Steve. You lose those sorts of protections if you leave La Familia.
As a shareholder of Lululemon I consider this securities fraud
