Exciting, but early. Tbh Kiplimo seems to be the better fit, but I hope Cheptegei shows just how good he is. 2:03 or better?

I'm excited about this but not expecting anything huge for his first time out. 2:04-2:05 but could creep into 2:03-high if he has a good day

I expect a 2h04 also but wouldn't be a shock if he actually runs a lot faster

Kiptum’s only 2 marathons were in the 2:01’s and he has little track credentials. You’re more suspicious of Chep?!

Cheptegei will probably run well. But hasn't that same thing been said by every first-time marathoner who ever went out too fast, hit the wall and crashed?

It's not impossible that he runs 2:01.

WR will be gone this year, and 2:01 is going to get broken if the top guys stay in shape.

I'm very surprised that Cheptegei will make his marathon's debuts kust before an Olympics year. Big mistake in my opinion, I thought he would start on marathon after Paris 2024.

I’m not so sure that Kiplimo will be given the opportunity.
