Here are a couple of pictures of my urban neighborhood in Chicago. There are hell holes in the suburbs, too. These pictures don’t fit your narrative, though, right?

I can walk end to end, down every street, and at all hours of the day in my suburb and not get asked for change once. Not have to a oid anyone sleeping on the sidewalk or yelling profanity like a crazy person.
I like being in a city for work or fun but give me the burbs to live in. There is no "bad area" of my burb and I can't think of many large cities that can say the same.

This is the type of crime that has ruined Chicago. When crime is just confined to the hood, it doesn't affect the economic heart of a city.
