As for what Alex can do while he is in charge, here is a short list:

• Implement some kind of power rankings so threads about actual running trickle towards the top and threads about other stuff trickle down. This is better than banning threads but they would fall out of the first page on the message board faster this way.
  
• Don't ban, just merge the trans threads into one mega-thread about trans issues.
  
• Don't ban, just merge the Chicago/Baltimore violence threads into one huge thread.
  
• Clean up the sponsors. The advertisers here should be sports related (or nutrition or shoes or apparel) but for some reason, I get the lamest ads on Letsrun (not on any other website).
  
• Cut the pop-ups by 800% to a mere 50 per site-visit.
