that was a suicide pace. too many great runners to win it like that.
hope she has something left fo the 5000.
her fitness very clearly is not where it was 3, 4 months ago.
maybe there is something for her to learn about how her body responds to different blocks of training
I hope so too, that was a wild opening effort to begin with.
it was not a suicide pace for a 4:06/4:24 runner.
She is not a 4:06/4:24 runner right now.
Kudos to Ramsden for an amazing win!
I don’t think we can say that here. What we CAN say is that her first lap in 64 in 82 degrees was absolutely beyond idiotic. Howell went with her and similarly paid the price.
NAU is the best college in the Flagstaff area. Hers is the 2nd best in the greater Boston area.
Yeah think this is pretty true. If it was 64-67-68, she should have a good bit of fight coming home. I don’t think heat in the 1500 is that huge a factor…certainly wasn’t for the top 5.
WTF are you talking about?
based on her underwhelming 5000 from a month ago, not so great 1500 prelims the other night, and now this; i think we can say that.
That was not smart racing by KT but hats off to Maia. Great run.

It was not a crazy pace.
The truth is that was her best shot. She couldn't outkick the other girls. She had no choice.
oh my god this board is going to EXPLODE
It's not the heat. She set her high school record in 95° heat in Florida...

That pace should have been OK for her if she was in 4:05/4:06 shape like during indoors. What is going on with her training?
I don’t think she is a 1500 runner plain and simple.
FRAUD.

I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
