There were only five at the line. I would say she needs to get off the start line better because she was dead last and had to come up from the back of the pack.

yeah she definitely did not have the best prelim, but I think she will correct her strategy for the final. She needs to get away from 500 ish out, otherwise the kick of the other women might be too much for her to handle. Sucks that Barnett is not in the final because she would've made it fast from the gun.

Have you ever been to a track meet before? She was 4th in her heat, five qualify. Sixth was a full second behind. She ran perfectly.
She didn't know 6th was a full second behind though. It's not like she had the luxury of looking around, saw her position, and was able to ease up. She said herself that she didn't run well tactically, and she's probably also pissed because she wasn't able to keep up with the UW girl at the end.
