Aliens who were able to visit Earth would certainly have vastly superior technology to us. However, they would likely be of similar intelligence, not vastly superior. They would not look at us as ants or bacteria. It would be something more akin to the way that we look at "primitives".
And yes, in centuries past, we wiped out "primitives" without much hesitation. But we are (slowly) moving away from a mindset in which that is acceptable. Now, imagine us thousands of years in the future. It is likely that the "it is OK to wipe out primitives" mindset will be entirely extinct. That would probably be where the mindset of advanced aliens would be.
Sorry, maybe I didn't explain very well. I don't think it even matters if they wish harm or not. I just think that if any alien life form had the technology to make it here they would be so advanced that we would be utterly inconsequential to them. Like ants, less than ants. Do you think of the bacteria you step on and squash when you walk, when you wash your hands? When you spray surfaces? Well apply that to them.
That is flawed reasoning.

The idea that people just "wiped out the primitives" is an ahistorical invention of modern activists.

True, they’ll probably treat us with the dignity and benevolence we accord to organic free range chicken.
Are the same people claiming the aliens would see us as bacteria, the same people asking why the government would hide the fact that they are here?
1. Governments are not certain as to how the populace will react to the news. The establishment has a fear that the confirmation of advanced alien life could tear apart the fabric of society. In particular, would such knowledge destroy organized religions? That would eliminate a major tool of control used by many nation states including our own. Many people would immediately abandon their faith as it would call into question the existence of God/Allah and the notion that He created us in his image. If a superior alien species stated that they are the gods that we have worshipped throughout humanity, that upsets the entire apple cart.
I'll also add that people would have no need for government or corporations any longer because the aliens clearly have much better stuff than we do. In fact, screw you guys! Your laws and products don't mean s**t any longer. If the aliens are benevolent, can cure cancer, provide limitless energy, solve hunger, and eliminate poverty, then I don't wish to hear one more f**king word about markets, winners and losers, class structures, or institutions! It will be very clear that the common man has been getting screwed over for millennia. The rich and the powerful suddenly lose all dominion over the poor unwashed masses.
2. If such evidence exists, see #1 - they don't want that proof out there. Considering the stakes, anyone with such bit and pieces have had it seized, been bullied into silence, or have been killed to keep it under wraps.
Put your tinfoil hat back on, Skeets; your brain is getting some bad waves again
I’m surprised no one has pondered the idea that this alien tech is from millions of years ago just landing today. For all we know the alien civilizations that launched them are long gone. They could have sent millions of probes into the universe to try and find life other than themselves and those missions occurred well before humans were a thing. The universe is what, 13bn years old. You don’t think there has been other intelligent life forms over 13bn years and 100quintillion earth like planets. THAT is crazy.
I love how aliens always show themselves in bumf*ck Oklahoma where the only people around have first generation android phones. They’re so smart.
Actually, most of the credible reports and recordings are from the military, and in particular around sensitive bases and sites associated with nuclear technology.
Word around the base is that the Alien had the cure for cancer and we just blew him out of the sky and can't decode his notes. Great job, guys. He was here to help!!!
Just why are those hairless weirdos always doing all that butt stuff to dudes? Are they sadistic gays or is there something really interesting up in that black hole?
Yes, he has a valid point. I posted a link above stating that the House of Representatives are going to hold a hearing into the whistle-blower claims, and there appears no interest in it, here or elsewhere. People are so dumb these days. Even if there is a 1% chance of this being true, it should be dominating the news and online discussion.
First mistake is believing the elite-controlled media outlets. Turn on off your television and reading news reports. One of the healthiest things you can do. No such thing as "space". The average person still thinks we live on a gigantic marble where rains falls sideways and people live upside down (Australia). Why do people still believe this? Television, text books, teachers, peers who also believe the lies they have been told. Earth is flat. Google "Satellites in space". Find one legit, real picture of Earth or satellites. Get back at me when you find a real picture. Should be a clue but most still don't get it...
