I'm sorry, he's full of sh!t. He just said at 9:30 or so into the video below that Tim Rowberry is married to Shannon Rowbury of Nike. Shannon's married to my bro and all-time GOAT Pablo Solares!! Why would Geoff Weightman make that up!?

Men’s 1500 tomorrow looks pretty good. 2:21.5 through the K requested from the pacer, so we could see some quick times from Stonier, Jye Edwards, Giles, Gressier or others. Most interesting to me is how Niels Laros will do in a fast race of this caliber.
Other highlights for me are w1500 of course, paced to 2:39 at the K with Hassan vs. Janet Chemestu, and Femke Bol in the flat 400.
Tenzo, I am relay sorry about that. I must have been completely mistaken on that front for quite some while. I hope I am the only one not up to speed. That will be an awkward introduction to Shannon when I work with her in Budapest this summer, won't it? Apologies. GW
She did look a little worn out when she was sitting after she finished. She didn’t run around and greet her adoring fans until a little later. Still, this is a FAST time and her last 400 was championship winning quality. She’s clearly the 10000 favorite in Budapest (sorry LG and the rest) but what else is she going to run? She might show up tomorrow and run a 3:54-55, but she’s never beating Kipyegon again at 1500, so will she never race the 1500 again at a global championship? I feel like Hassan isn’t scared to lose, so maybe she’ll race Faith just to see how it goes.

More savvy racing from Hassan. With sharpening, a medal threat in the 1500 once again.

Medal threat? That’s sort of insulting to her. She’s far and away the 2nd best female 1500 runner on earth, better than Tsegay or Muir, or Hailu or Hull, etc as long as she has just a little rest and recovery. She just cruised to a 3:58 the day after running 29:37. The issue is that Hassan is ONLY second best and even if the 1500 were her sole event at worlds, she’s not beating Kipyegon. So, does she bother racing the 1500?
