The reality is that 800M/1500M guys will always beat up on 1500M/5000M guys.
Didn't Jakob beat up on all the 800/1500m guys that were in the 1500m Olympic final? Including Cheryuiot? And the only 800/1500m guy who beat him last year was Wightman.
I hope Tim gets back to his 2020 level. His Monaco run was worth 3:26 if the pacing wasn't so crazy, and he would've been the Olympic champ if they hadn't been postponed. His year has looked great so far, and when you're on, you're on. 1:44/3:31/7:36 is about as good of a May as you can have. I hope he's in Oslo since Jakob is supposedly gunning for a fast time. It'd be awesome to see a modern El G v Ngeny since the last one happened before I was born.

He’s in Oslo. Dk if Reynold is, but aside from the ailing Wightman everyone of note is racing in the field
Hahahaha. Potato is going to be fried by young Kessler by the time mid summer rolls around, let alone having any hope of catching Jakob who'll probably run 3:26 this year.
* Tim C needs to avoid racing J I in Diamond League meets. D L meets are a money grabbing joke.
* Tim C should never lead a 1500m race the first 1000m meters again.
* Tim C needs to watch the pitfall of too many elite Kenyan 1500m men, overtraining, especially overtraining at higher elevation.
If anything, they undertrain when they start to win.
A Kenyan man has not won an international 1500m gold since 2019 World Championships. I am specifically referring to the last 6 to 8 weeks prior to Olympics and World Championships.
