Barnet wire to wire 409.3.
Mia Barnett wins heat 1 in 4:09.30, #4 time in NCAA this season. Fast heat! Fifth place was 4:11.47. 4:15.92 was the fastest of the day in the East Regional.
Heat #2 much slower, winners in 4:15. Looking like little q's will be coming from heat 1. That heat was smoking.
Heat 3 about the same as 2. All four little q's are still coming from heat #1. Cutoff is 4:18.67 right now. West Regional is MUCH faster than the East. According to the weather it is a lot hotter in the West but the humidity is much lower. Probably similar conditions overall.
Watching a little behind ... Barnett really going for it. Not taking any chances
Simone Plourde was in 7th with a lap to go but moved up to qualify in 4th.
Had to work, and so much for kembois triple...
Nice kick by Jepkirui
4:17.60 was the 2nd fastest of the day in the East; it would be 18th fastest in the West.
This glitchy feed is making me cray cray
Is it just me or does one of the PA announcers sound like Mr. Mackey? Mmkay?
She got herself stuck on the rail in a box until finally was able to get out at about 1200
Definitely have the backup equipment & crew working this regional. The East feed was flawless

kemboi running a warmup?
Barnett paced the top 8 to PRs. LoStracco of Bradley went from 4:18.92 to 4:10.80!
She ran 5:12. My guess is she realized she was out of it and virtually stopped to conserve for the 10000m. Either that or she is inured/ill.
Well she has plan b and plan c. Anna Juul in east was in 1500 and 800. When she advanced in 1500, she ran a pretty lackluster 800 to not advance.
Honest effort rule for kemboi? She will run 10k at a faster pace than her 1500 slogfest
Same link works for videos as was used for the East Regional
