most of that is donated or sponsored. try again. and the coaching salaries are XC salaries per Title IX. they aren't allowed to report that per LAW if they don't sponsor the sport. So are you saying NW is evading TITLE IX laws now too? the plot thickens

Looking at Rachel's Instagram, she seems pretty happy traveling through Europe at the moment.
Was just going to say.... all these people arguing about I'm not sure what... the real question here is only this... Did Rachel know when she decided to go to NW? If so, this thread is a waste of everyone's time. She's the one who this affects, not all you alls.
33:52? please
why is there a three page thread on a 33:52 runner when we could all be talking about Katelyn Tuohy?
Looking up her profile it looks like she's a grad student in computer science, so she probably knows how to navigate the world wide interwebs. Maybe Rachel McCardell is the OP and came up with the idea to troll all the juvenile idiots here to see them argue about a definition of a word and stay home devastated
Most of the money for Wisconsin's track team comes from donors also. No difference. The NW coach took an increase in pay moving from Wiscoonsin to NW. She would have received a cut if they she only coached for 1 season instead of 3.
And in programs like MN who don't have indoor, the coach can only spend 10 hours per week with an athlete while NW doesn't have that restriction.

The fake outrage on her behalf is amusing. OP clearly votes democrat.
The team is breaking school records in track.
The article is about their track season. The Ustfccca includes their track team in the rankings.
