Tavon Underwood of Mead HS in Colorado just won the 4A boys 800m run in 1:51.97 today, yesterday he was the fastest qualifier in the 100/200/400 in 10.81(-1.7)/20.99/47.35. Honestly the 800m seemed like the hardest win for him as he came in the #2 seed, so it looks like he's on his way to pulling off the quadruple in Colorado's second largest classification. Has this ever been done before?
Not only that but his 200/400/800 times are the fastest across all classifications so far at the Colorado state meet, with all of the 800s done at this point, and the rest of the sprint finals tomorrow. He's run 46.60 for the 400 already this year, and there's no reason to think he won't dip under 47 again tomorrow, his preliminary races in the 200 and 400 looked very easy.
