Are these lists the people who declared or everybody who will be running? As in, looking at every event, will the #49 guy make it or not?
Tuohy entered in the 1500/5k and Britton Wilson entered in the 400/400H. Tough doubles for sure but those are two super-talented athletes.
Also Stanford's Juliette Whittaker is entered in the 1500 and not the 800. Washington's Sam Ellis, who was 3rd in the 1500 last year, is doing the 800 instead.

first 48 that are to be considered and are accepted should run barring a medical scratch. Scratches are out (unless error is corrected by tomorrow)

"S" means that athlete is scratching that event. So the 48th person with an "A" next to their name in each event will make it.
I hope Wilson is not overcooked by the end of Ncaa season. She has a legit chance to medal in the 400m flat.
Thanks - I saw the S and A but wasn't sure what they meant. Seems like guys around ~55 might still make it depending on the event.

let's not turn this into another dumb thread
What are the rules if an athlete who has declared for a double advances - do they have to do the double at championships or could they still back out of one event?

Someone please explain to me why Whittaker is not running the 800m
Stanford athletes are 3-4-16 (Whittaker, Willis, Tanaka) in the 800m West list and 3-9-17 (Tanaka, Whittaker, Willis) in the 1500m West list.
It doesn't make sense to me either. They are working on Whittaker's endurance and maybe they can see the possibility of her winning a slow race on the kick, and thus having a shot at winning both 800, with Willis, and 1500m (getting big points with Tanaka, the third seed, and Whittaker). Or they figure she will run 800m at US champs and so she doesn't need to run it at NCAA's. But 1500m right now is definitely not her wheelhouse. She is very good at it for an 800m runner, but the latter is very much her best event as American hs record holder.

From the prechamionship manual:
Fay's a scratch in the 10000m, Duncan Hamilton a scratch in the 1500m and 5000m, Colin Sahlman a scratch in the 800m, where he is top ten in the West (running the 1500m).
Chelangat, Olemomoi, and Markezich big scratches in the 5000m, while Tyynismaa is a scratch in the 1500m and in there for possible podium in the 5, along with Valby, whose top three chances went way up with all the scratches.

I agree - I would have to look at declarations again but she might be the only "top" runner fresh for the 5000 between doubles and scratches
I am shocked that Olemomoi and Chelangat are not doubling and going all in on the 10k. The east 5k has a lot of scratches.
Also - is Kemboi is ... tripling? Hope I am not reading that wrong again lol
