It was a lab sized dog that was running the whole time, 10 mile race. We didn't realize she was 4th OA until her 1st in age group award came in the mail. Is this mechanical doping? Biological doping?
It's like being in a race that allows supershoes, then choosing to not wear supershoes and complaining about someone else's choice to wear supershoes only because they finished ahead of you.
I neglected to mention there was prize money so the places do mean a little bit here. But lesson learned guess I’ll have to train our dogs to run and not sniff butts.

Do you not realize that it is very difficult to understand what exactly happened based on what you wrote?
What in particular did you gind difficult? It was quite clear to me.
Was this race put on by a running shop in the mid Atlantic? I think I ran the race you are talking about. I ran passed a lady at mile 7 with a dog and I thought the race didn’t allow dogs. I thought it looked unfair. I was right behind OA1/2 females in the face so she probably ended up in third.
If it is the race I am thinking about, she started in the same corral as me. I was nervous that she and her dog were going to wrap me up. In the roles it is stated that she had to start in the back of the race with the strollers and the dog had to be on a 5ft leash (it wasn’t a 5ft leash)
