I have done lots of research into different coaching styles and threads on how 5k/10k runners train. I have not found a consensus, I saw the Norwegian Method, Salazar's training for Rupp and Farah, and of course the usual easy high volume mileage and more. But all of these have different views on the easy run, when/what type of workouts to do workouts, intervals, etc. I'm confused on what's the best, and what has the most success, really focusing on 5k getting ready for XC. Any advice would help. Thank You.
