So i will run a 4:55 on the road and my watch says my HR hits 198 but I run 4:17 and 9:10 so how is this possible?

Anyone
Your max HR is either 220 or it’s off

It's possible due to Science
Yeah I’ll try a new watch next time I workout I don’t know in wore one in cross and did mile repeats 4 in 5:10 and it was 199 and then I went 15:22
What science
if you aren't using a HR strap, then then numbers you see are questionable.
Imma guess it locked onto your cadence at some point. I’m in similar shape and I will usually max out at 178-182 for a 4:55 mile, with my max being around 200-205.
The heat also could have gotten to you, while I’ve been adapting from the sudden transition from winter to spring this year my HR has hopped up a good 10 bpm per run.
