Yup, carried them to a championship a few years ago. Tons of tickets sold and media coverage in the past several years. Tonight has 12/5/4 at the half and the Lakers are ahead.
Horrible deal for the Lakers and as for LeBron he should probably just retire at halftime.
Whether the Lakers win or not your statement regarding Lebron is absurd. He was the fastest guy on the court last night and one of the few players who didn't appear gassed at the end of the game.
Silly comment. LeBron can still ball out at age 38 with all of the miles and wear and tear on his body. He cannot single-handedly win championships for a roster - but he makes them a contender and relevant. Yes - Cleveland during the second LeBron go-around and Miami mortgaged their immediate futures - but it paid off with championships and relevancy.
Cleveland without LeBron was/is a moribund franchise. Other than LeBron James and Ohio State football - what does Ohio have? Miami was a middling franchise in the late 00's and LeBron made them the hottest show on earth.
His legacy is secure and whatever he does with the LA Lakers is just icing on the cake. LA Lakers were already the greatest NBA franchise in history without him.
How many lousy franchises would kill to get him for even 2 years at the end of his career just to sniff a conference finals? Minnesota, Charlotte, Orlando, Washington?

LeBron was not the fastest guy on the court last night, and he will show his age tomorrow. He is a defensive liability for sure.

You make no sense. Lakers were petrified to risk taking AD out of the game because he is the one they cannot afford to not have on the court. LeBron they can play without but not AD.

He was rebounding then blowing by GS in transition in the 4th quarter and getting back on defense to block a key shot. Did you watch the game?

Yes, they couldn't take AD out and he was understandably gassed, but Lebron, the over the holl old man wasn't.
AD can come through in bursts and ripples - but he has a super tenuous injury history and he's hardly 30 years old! How many seasons has he played a full slate of games? LeBron certainly needs someone at this stage of his career to share the workload with - but AD will never be the long-term answer for anyone. He's never available for a full season. Everything came together in the bubble for AD & LeBron to win a championship. AD's career is already in decline.

Yes you cannot rely on AD to be available. His ability is top 5 in the NBA but his durability is well below average. But when available and when he is focused he is the best player on the court most of his games.
