Looks like rain and wind will hit Philly on Friday and Saturday. Fun fun fun...
Yep, I just looked at the forecast. Nearly an inch of rain forecasted for Friday. Thursday’s weather looks great with moderate temps and low winds and not much of a chance of rain.
There are some decent distance events scheduled in the evening on Thursday. The women’s 5000 looks most interesting with Sydney Seymour, last year’s winner when she was at Tennessee, on the starting list for NC State.
The relay events I’m most looking forward to are on Friday & Saturday, unfortunately.
I could be way outdated with this but I remember (and I'm going back to the 1970's/80's) the Penn Relays 10,000 track race was a big deal. I didn't see it on the schedule.
For all I know it may have been gone for decades but I do remember looking forward to it.

There was also a 20K (I think) road race.
Again, I'm dating myself as a real old guy.
Yeah, the 10 is still contested. It’s the last event tomorrow evening.
The women's DMR & 4×1500m look good. Quite a few runners doubling back

Are you shocked that he improved more than Hocker or Teare? It makes complete sense - just look at Fisher. Fisher had a ~3.5-3.6 in electrical engineering at Stanford, and Nuguse had a 3.86 in biochem at Notre Dame. They wouldn't have been able to just focus on running, and likely didn't get perfect sleep as well, like people like Hocker or Teare, or currently Bosley at NAU (he didn't make academic all American which isn't a high bar).
Today's weather looks like it will be just about perfect and particularly good for the distance events in the evening with temps 55 to 60. Winds are starting to pick up slightly in the evening but still on 8-10 mph. Chances of rain are negligible.

I won the 20K in the early 90's and even had the record. Sydney Maree would later break it. I still have my Penn Relays Watch.
I'm really interested to see how Devon Allen does in this meet. I believe he is still planning for the Eagles practice squad but if he gets his form back he will be a contender for the WC team if he chooses to do so.
