I think I read an article about her in the NYT a few years ago. At the time, her training plan was 10 mi. a day, 7 days a week. Good for her, but personally I would lose my mind if I didn’t vary my mileage or cross train a bit. But it also gives me hope as a 40-something that I can do this running thing a while longer!
That is how I trained for the 1978 New York Marathon when I was 15 Years old 12 Milers a Day 7 Days a Week, same Route 20 Weeks straight only exception was if I ran a Local (In Miami) Road Race on the Weekend. I was hurting the last few Miles, I ran 2:57.23 for 683rd place Bill Rodgers won The Men's Race Grete Race set the Marathon World Record in her Debut in 2:32
I haven't done much to check and will not take the time now, but I seem to recall seeing her run some fast times before. First impression is that it's all legit (at least for those who don't consider use of supershoes to be cheating, but I don't know what shoes she wears, either).
How about this: Maybe consider not making any accusations or engaging in any wild speculation about misconduct unless you have something really firm that would call any results into question. And even then, how about with some serious restraint?
Did you click the link? That first pic just makes her look young, look at the other photos. She still looks great for 75 but looks more her age in the other ones in the article.
