They have almost no chance, mainly because of Centro. The record is weak of course.
They wouldn’t even think of trying for the 4x1500 of 14:22.22, which they couldn’t come close to.
No offense but this seems extremely far-fetched. Prakel and Gregorek may be in 3:52-3 shape with pacing and drafting etc. But then Centro and the additional athlete will be in 3:56-3:58 shape (optimistically). I think generously most athletes will be 3 seconds off their best running solo. So if everyone ran their best I think they could be within a few seconds but it feels like they’d be more likely to be closer to 16:00 than 15:49

Hunter - 3:53 from 2021, ran 1:46.1 this season
Yearian - 3:54 PB, 3:59 SB
to me there's only 2 choices, Hunter or Wisner, and both have had some patchy performances. I'd have really hoped to have a better level of alum for the 4th spot tbh

So Centro did run 7:53 on March 11th. Could he muster a 3:56? Probably not but let’s give them credit for going for a world record that for sure would be more noteworthy than if I broke the record for eating potato chips in a day.

Yeah it is interesting to think that 3:57.26 x 4 gets you the world record. So if they had rabbits to pace them they would probably have a roughly 50% chance at it. But sans rabbits, they probably cannot get there. Now if it was at that indoor track in Boston where Gregorek and Prakel are so fast, then it would be possible.
If they use Hunter (AUS) they can't get credit for the WR. They all need to be from the same country.
