I'm talking of course, back in 2007 when Eliud Kipchoge ran his debut 10,000m in 26:49.02 and achieved his last medal on track (5000m Silver is Osaka). We know he had a difficult next couple of years because he hadn't secured a Medal on anything. He did run some sick PRs like 8:07 Indoor Two Miles and 7:27 3K. Apart from that, he was not as well known as he is today. Back when he was capable of averaging 4:18/mile for 6.2 miles. Would he have already broken the Two Hour Marathon? with a 10K like that, 4:30s per mile would've been much more smoother for him compared to today.
How different would Marathon history have been if he had shifted or started training in that year?
