I am extremely fit for my age and would love to join the Army. Would they allow it?

Eventually the US will need to lift enlistment age and may expand direct commissions to experienced professionals.
If you were prior service, you can jump back in at a higher age.

This post was edited 10 minutes after it was posted. Reason provided: He also came in 3rd in the pentathlon XC at 2012 olympics, and 5th overall. That kind of fitness won't vanish by age 62312 -

Hey I'm 62 & in great shape also despite some post-traumatic OA in some joints & a bad back (big deal..doesn't most everyone over 50 have a bad back these days?)
