Chelimo just hasn't been able to take advantage of the super shoes/spikes. Would have expected a few faster races from him over last 3 years.

chelimo was aiming for the AR and had a pacer for it. after a while when chelimo lost sight of the front pack, his pacer, bravin kiprop, went to the front and was battling for the win with 2 other guys as he had permission from the race director to finish the race. he finished 3rd - it was fun to watch

yeah exactly and his training in iten doesn't help him either. berlin was his 2nd HM and same result as 2019 in NY
