Big Allie Ostrander fan here. Predict her time and place.
My guess is 15:39 for 4th place.

She’s done some great work outs and she’s a true competitor, so I’m gonna say 3rd place for her!!
Hope she kills it! Allez, Allie!
I don't know the course profile but I expect her to squeek in just under 20:00. 20:00 is a politely fantastic for a 5k. I'm trying to get below 25:00 myself.

*Absolutely fantastic

It depends how many people are doing this 5k. I did a few last year ranging for 300 to 5,00 people. My 20:00 guess puts her maybe top half? I've never been higher than 50% so I think she will do a little better than that. Top 45% of field. That could be 300th place or 3,000th.
15:15, third
Second place in 15:47

Carlsbad is fast. Haven't seen a start list but I'll go with 5th & 15:35.
Allie clocked a 15:48 in a road race last June. Her more recent 15k is worth a 16:30 (though not her best distance, and picked up blisters).
The Carlsbad 5000 is a fair course, and not completely flat.
Her recent workouts look pretty good. Not knowing the entry list, currently I’ll peg her at 3rd in 15:45, but am open to further good input.
I hope that she does well. After this her sponsor will have her running all kinds of odd distance mountain and trail runs of various lengths. Will we ever see her on the track or running 5K's and 10K's on the road again?
The ladies field is weak. She will win in 15:42.

Okay, I just watched her last two workouts posted, and I’m bumping my prediction. A ~15:30 could be possible…maybe even a bit faster if she really crushes it.
She needs to stay focused after the first 180deg turnaround, coming back up hill. Then keep pressing, just enough, to the last 180deg turnaround on the north side of the course. Then it’s hard press , hard press, to the last left turn for home, where she then needs to go all out like that 400m in her video.

Do you have an entry list?
It's a fast course with a downhill finish. Allie O is more a strength runner than a speedster, but I think she will hang with the lead pack right up until the sprint for the line. I'll be optimistic and predict 3rd.
Allie will go 15:37 for 3rd…

No, it is more of a flattish finish, not downhill like the Freihofer’s Run.
‘The Bad’ got ‘Fastest 5k’ billing from having fast people running it.
