that was interesting....i cant belive i watched the whole thing. it was a super piece of art ,but this guy was messed up on something.

for a while it looked like a bad acid trip, but looks like mushrooms at the end.

He could not have been high while producing this. His timeline in flash must be huge. To keep track of all those graphics and symbols is one big task. Still, to come up with the bizarre imagery he must have some issues. Maybe his therapist at the beginning of the cartoon gave him some medication that did not agree with him.

This flash was making the rounds at an animation school in Florida. A friend send it to me. He said nobody knows where it came from.

I have never seen anything quite like this flash movie before.

I hope the artist found himself during the journey. If he is stuck in that insane world he is no longer in reality.

definitely peyote, makes sense with the images, especially the fact that there were so many aztec symbols in there.

the actual content is not that weird or freaky. but it is pretty cool that someone would take the time to make it. I don't think this is influenced by drugs at all. I think of random patterns and put them on paper to make psychidelic images all the time. they are very time consuming because they need to have detail(I can do this pretty well as I am looking into arts for university). but it is still amazing that someone would actually make this

The Flash is entitled "Flashback", which pretty much means acid trip memories. The legend that a flashback can occur when a user cracks his back because the lsd is stored in the spine is false, but genuine flashbacks do occur rarely in longterm acid users. I've never heard of flashbacks from shrooms or peyote. I will say though that some of the beginning sequence in the forest eerily reminded me of an old shrooms trip I had.

The squat oblong froggish image people know from astec art is a very common visual with use of both acid and shrooms.

The woody woodpeckerish image often (and in violet-blue) is part of acid/shroom also.

Since I now know the artist name I should be careful in distributing it. I don't think showing it in a newsletter that is going to 35 people is going to be a big deal, but after that it will be removed from my server.

This artist is somewhat well known, and he is into mushrooms after all.

With all due respect to you guys, I fail to see why that is entertaining at all. The music was OK, nothing earth-shattering. The graphics didn't do anything for me. It just looked like a bunch of mushroom and frog shaped things floating around and folding into and out of each other.

If this is what you experience while on drugs it is little wonder I have never had any interest in trying them. I watched that stupid video for about 20 minutes and the most interesting thing I saw was a fake guy walking through a fake forest. If this was mind-blowing or really creative I could just go and walkk through a reall forest and spin around for 60 seconds and then stand on my head until I passed out.

Frankly this looks like a high schooler with too much time to me. If this represents a high-level of achievement with this media (flash cartoon) then any effort on it is a waste of time.

OK, I just looked at his site and he is kind of ugly and he is a terrible speller. But he is forgiven because he is not an English-speaker and he is only 26 and seems to not be that sharp in general.

When I studied Spanish, I couldn't speak it that great, but I never mispelled words like "business" or "presentations" or "important".
