Does OAC think we all need to see daily videos set to music with them running around the track? Seriously-Who cares? A narcissistic bunch. and the interview clips are even worse.
What I find interesting is that if you look at Helen run and you look at her style and you asked a nonathletic person not involved in athletics to judge her style I think most people would say she does not look good in action which proves that the evaluation of style in distance running can be subjective but should not supersede efficacy and speed overall.
Love Helen but gawd that upper body form is awfully wasteful. I suspect she must have picked it up in childhood and was never adjusted. I know people say don't adjust a person's running form but does that apply to the upper body as well? She's expending a lot of energy swinging those arms so wildly as though she's swatting mosquitoes.

Yes how dare they market themselves. On must be furious.
Agree that these videos are boring. Anyone who actually gets a kick out of watching people running around the track every day needs to get a life. The fact that this group has to videotape themselves constantly is beyond egotistical. Not effective marketing

Matt Taylor produced content like this almost 20 years ago. At the time, it was novel, and running nerds like us had reason to eat it up. Now, it's become rote--generic music, some workout footage, runners gabbing pre- and post-run, etc.
So while it is marketing, it is no longer inherently interesting, and therefore not effective marketing.

I posted in the other thread about her doing the Boston marathon, but isn't there a lot of up and down to her form as well, or am I seeing things?

Hellen's On coach is the guy who, when he was already a two-time Olympian and AR holder at 5K, had a coach who wanted him to hold his thumbs differently. So he might not be a big advocate for late-career form remakes.
And of course as a fan I prefer OAC post videos like this…what is the motivation for a person to hate them for it? Bizarre.
OK so I guess Joe Biden, who I voted for, is a monster. I guess Serena Williams is a monster. I guess Tiger Woods is a monster. I guess Warren Buffett is a monster. Very strange word usage.

If running isn't "inherently" interesting to you then of course videos of an elite team training won't be "inherently" interesting.
On running's IG has over a million followers. That's not ineffective. But, since you're a big time guy in the industry, I'd love to hear your thoughts on how to effectively market a running team.

So what's the point of "marketing" a running team? What exactly is OAC selling us? Nothing. Again, these videos are self serving, with OAC (and others) thinking too highly of themselves that anyone is interested in watching people doing repeats on a track. Wow!! People running - that's novel!

I would start by having an up-to-date team page on On's site.
