I see an early edition of the entries came out so I thought I would post. Natalie Cook is listed so there no doubt will be changes. But no Tuohy if anyone thought she might venture in that direction.
Also Jenna Hutchins, Lucy Jenks, Samree Dishon, Tori Herman, Calie Logue, McKenna Lee, Taryn O'Neill, Sydney Thorvaldson, Isabel Van Camp (is she healthy?)
I also see Katelynne Hart and Ericka Vanderlende of Michigan listed
In the 10,000 I see Emily Venters, Amanda Vestri and Aubrey Frentheway listed along with Roe, larkin, Dishon
In the 1500 I see Mia Barnett, Galvydyte, Goldstein, Hertenstein, Jepkirui, Plourde, Seymour, Thorner, Carley Thomas (stepping up from 800?)
At a quick glance through I counted 20+ women entered in the 5 & 10. I'm sure that there are a few more but I quit counting. There also are some men entered in both but not as many as the women. I've got to think that if an athlete runs the 5 it is doubtful that they'll also do the 10 since they're both held on Friday. I suppose that it is doable if someone runs in the first heats of the 5 which are in the morning at 8:48 & 9:27 but otherwise, I don't see it. I guess coaches enter athletes in both to give them more flexibility.
Dunno what to expect from McCabe in this race. Last season, Wayment ran 15:15 at BU, 8:50 at Millrose, 4:12 at Stanford, then 15:50 in a pro race a month before her monster 9:16 at Nats in Eugene. For McCabe, I’d call anything in the 15:15--15:45 range (or top 5 in this field) a solid outing that puts her in good stead to challenge for the 3000SC title in June. It’s gonna take a 9:2x to get it done imo and Markezich seems to be right on track.
Lots of interesting story lines in the W 5000 and M 10000. Fay is trending toward a sub-28 PB. Not sure why Asekol is missing from the W1500 list.
