I can confirm that Iga Swiatek, the Polish tennis player and winner of the 2020 French Open, has signed a sponsorship deal with Swiss sports company On Running. The deal reportedly makes her the world's highest-paid female athlete in terms of sponsorships. According to Forbes, the deal was brought on board by tennis legend Roger Federer, who is also an investor in On Running. As part of the deal, Swiatek will wear On Running clothing and shoes during matches and training sessions. The value of the deal has not been disclosed, but it is said to be a multi-year agreement. This partnership with On Running is a significant milestone for Swiatek, who has quickly risen to fame in the tennis world. She is known for her powerful groundstrokes and aggressive playing style, which have earned her comparisons to Rafael Nadal. With this sponsorship, Swiatek joins the ranks of other top athletes who have partnered with On Running, including Federer and British triathlete Tim Don. It is also worth noting that the mention of private jet commuting may be misleading. While top athletes often use private jets to travel to tournaments, there is no indication that Swiatek will be doing so as a result of this sponsorship deal.
Very, very unfair. Very boring, seriously overpaid sport for snobs. No record marks, they have nothing measurable to achieve, just bouncing the ball. Who normal is watching this?
But to tell the truth there are also many other sports seriously overpaid and overrated, especially English & North American sports: soccer (for uneducated with beer), American football (for morons), baseball, basketball, rugby (all three for boring Americans), hockey (boring Canadians), golf (the most boring of all for old men), boxing, wrestling (both for uneducated morons), weightlifting, horse racing, polo, cricket, curling (the most stupid of all for morons), and so on, so on...
This is an example of taking some risk; even though Swiatek is now #1, she's not yet internationally well known and who knows how long her stay at the top will be? Federer is betting she'll play another 10-15 yrs, rather than disappear like Barty or Osaka.

Tennis is boring?? LoL. Everyone apparently around the world is watching it. And it never has been underrated. Salaries reflect the money that is made by the sport. Sorry I love track but you know as well as everyone that no one wants to watch people they don’t know running around in circles for 3 hours at a meet.
Clothing and Shoes . Brought on board by Roger Federer according to Forbes . Will join the private jet commuters now .
So, why does that bother you? If that was even true why don’t you also complain about Serena or Federer and all the others that make money. What about the entire NFL?
Well Osaka was the highest paid womAn athlete in 2022 at $51M. But obviously that went down (you actually have to play to continue making that kind of money). Iga must be making the same or more. Serena is #2 at $41M
Osaka kind of stumbled into a pile of money, came into international scene under the lights beating Serena in a grand slam final, and happened to rep the best country to be a star in - Japan!
In addition to Japan, she was relevant in USA, Europe and Asia. It also helped that the fashion world of Paris, London, NYC, Tokyo scooped her right up in the 'fusion/athletic' trends. Even without much play, she becomes quickly a calebrity.
That's the jump Swiatek has not yet and may never make.

Not disputing that sports figures are grossly overpaid, but if you find basketball and rugby - two sports that take supreme speed, athleticism, conditioning, strength, teamwork, etc. - boring and long distance running exciting then that's probably got more to do with your schoolyard trauma than anything objective measure on the excitement-boredom scale.

Why do you think it bothered the OP? She is the most well known women athlete in the world now .
Jokerbitch is the biggest a-hole on the tour. That's why despite being #1, he's got B-level sponsors like Asics and Lacoste and makes 1/4 of what Federer was making before retirement.
