How many can YOU do?
How many can YOU do?
Ten pull ups are a bit more than okay for a 35 year old man. Ten pull ups, below average for 35 year old firemen; ten pull ups, below average for 35 year old police officers & sheriff deputies & state troopers.
Those look clean.
I can do 10-12 depending on the day. Looking forward to doing 15.
For runner 10 is a lot.
I usually can just do 5-7 pull ups. Then I started to go to gym a lot. I then could do 15 pull ups. But one day before gym, I ran 5k warm up and could only do 10 pull ups.
Now I have returned to full running training and again can do just 5-7.
It is hard to run and do pull ups.
10 pulls ups when adding 25kg to bodyweight (total weight 110 kg).
Why is any of that information relevant?
There's always the slow you in the bunch. You cannot understand subtle. I was trying to be less than mean. Ten pull ups for an elite athlete is not impressive.
The average cop is not an elite athlete. The average fireman is not athlete athlete.
Slow people who don't know they are slow bother me.
It’s impressive by someone weighed down by an Olympic gold medal
One thing I've learned from this site is many people lie about the number of pull-ups they can do. Or they do them really fast with sloppy form and lie to themselves.
You're right, 10 legit pull-ups is good.
I'm confused- I'm 64 and I can do 10 quite easy. Pull ups and chin ups.
If I knew how to post a video here I would. Notice- I'm 64. LOL
He wasn’t stopping at 10. He had plenty more left in the tank by the looks. Also they were pretty wide pull-ups which are distinctly harder than a narrower grip.
why is he working out at 11:12pm?
My best is 34.
Stroncentro- why would you down vote my post? It makes no sense, or are you one of those fools who "disagrees" with facts?
Everything I said was absolutely factual.
Like most cops could do 1 pullup
Most distance runners should be able to do 10 pull ups.
Skinny people don't have much to pull up.
I make up for it elsewhere.
I can do 16 pull-ups. 10 seems pretty good for a pro distance runner. In my high school, we were all terrible at pull-ups despite our coach making us do them twice a week.
10 with good form is excellent. Most people are indeed sloppy. I've been weight training in addition to recreational running for 15+ years and when I was my strongest, I think I could do about 15.
Roger Federer claims he coupdn't even do a single pull up (at least at one point well into his career, he may well have improved since), no one is accusing him of not being an elite athlete. Pull ups mean jack in isolation. You could be able to bust out 15 OAP's and be bottom 5% in everything else.
