Coverage about to begin. Cold, windy and the newer course has some hills. If someone finds something better than the ABC 7 stream please post it!
Chavez and Tollefson
It's on YouTube also
Obiri looked like she was freezing on the start line so not suprised to see her go right to the front. She and Teferi leading early.
They've flooded the coverage so far with Huddle stuff and she's not even in the picture at the 1 mile mark.
I don’t think she was ever in the conversation to win. Seeing Huddle back out is awesome though, I’d absolutely love to see her return to the highest level.
For this race, it’s good they’re doing the Huddle features, now. Hopefully toward the end of the race the focus will be on the leaders.
Too much wheelchair.
Does Chris Thompson know this isn't a 5K? Way out front early!
Best commentary so far - “When the guy from Minnesota is wearing long sleeves in the race, that’s when you know it’s cold out”
Wheelchair racing needs to be banned in a foot race for obvious reasons.
As usual its a wheelchair race with some foot racing thrown in for entertainment.
It's natural for humans to overcompensate because they subconsciously feel like a D if they ignore the wheel chair racers.
It would also be human nature to downvote a comment like mine here but to upvote yours even though they have the same premise. Most people would agree with both comments if made anonymously given that they tuned into see the top stars or Americans Huddle and Glen Rop.
ANY SPLITS?
F*CK this wheelchair coverage.
15:50 for 5K in the women's race (Obiri and Teferi +0:01)
Thanks
C. Thompson split 9:45 for 2 miles.
How is it even possible that Teferi and Obiri are that far out front this early!?
