Currently training for a marathon and am not sure what time to target given my training and recent race performance.
Last weekend I ran a 1:17:11 half marathon, 6 weeks before my goal race. I ran the last 5k of that race in ~17:30 so I think I could have gone out harder during the first half.
Other PRs
5k - 17:15 (haven't raced a 5k in a long time and am pretty confident I can run sub-17)
10k - 35:28
Marathon - 2:58
I did a 6 week 10k training block doing about 60 mpw and went straight into marathon training averaging around 60-70mpw for the past 8 weeks.
Is 2:45 a realistic target or should i stick to 2:50 given my limited marathon experience and relatively low mileage?
