The story for me so far is how many times the female commentator called Benjamin Robert “Adrian Ben” on the last lap of the 5th heat. Ben had qualified in the 1st heat.
Also, something about Javier Miron of Spain looked impressive to my eye. 23 years old with a 1:45.98i SB—he ran 1:44.82 outdoors in 2021 and then missed all of 2022 for whatever reason.
Agreed. I think she’ll run from the front and only Klein will hang on till the closing stages for a German 1-2. Klein has run 8:36 x2 this year and looked great in her heat. I’d take a Brit for the bronze, either Nuttall or Courtney-Bryant.
Jakob 3rd in his heat. Anyone watching how did it look?
Very composed. Jakob is definitely the most minimalist when it comes to heats. As soon as he got into 3rd and the big Q his only thought was about 4th places location. He did not attempt to finish 1st or 2nd
