Was thinking tonight during a hard-ish run:
if a nuclear strike were performed in DC against the US, and you were in someplace likeLA, would you finish your track workout if you still had reps left?

Why do you think you would even have time to do that?
How would you even know? Unless you're a fat old hobbyjogger with a iphone max strapped to your arm
The OP is saying "If DC was bombed with a thermonuclear weapon and you were doing a track workout in your hometown (not DC, obviously), would you stop the instant you found out or finish the workout?"
The OP was not super clear, but if you reread it, it does make sense. He used the verb "performed" but nuclear strikes are not performed, they are "carried out against" --- that is what made it somewhat hard to understand.
p.s. I would not finish my workout. I would rush home to my family, consolidate our resources and assets, and stockpile water and food. You never know when/where the next bomb will drop.
I'd instantly drive to the hood and buy a switch. I'd need something full auto for a nuclear war
Good point. I never run with a phone, so I would have no idea (unless people at the track - who all have phones - started freaking out, which they would).
Exactly. Thanks for the translation.
I would think that if a nuclear attack were carried out against some part of our nation, the word would travel fast. Perhaps even sirens to take cover like in tornados or something? I’d probably finish if I were close to being done.
The op said a strike in DC and you would be in a place like LA. Assuming the attack stayed on the east coast, you'd have plenty of time to finish your workout.
True story. And maybe even have time enough for a warm down.
Why would it stay on the east coast? The OP’s scenario was not clear.
First wait until heart rate is at 120bpm after the rep, then you can make decision to continue the workout.

Point taken.
That does not necessarily make sense. If by ‘strike’ you mean an air-borne (that typically takes 30 minutes of travel), then the appropriate response was likely headed the other direction. And consequently, as counter-action, more were incoming were probably already sent, to multiple places.
MAD
There are a lot of systems in place for an event like this and you would almost certainly find out not long after the launches are detected

By the time a message was provided to the public, places like LA may be only seconds away from annihilation, as well.
If I was at the track and people started freaking out or my coach said there are bombs incoming, I'd finish my workout, then come on Letsrun for one final visit.

I'm pretty fast and have the LRC Triple.
Depends if im hitting my splits. If not then i will run to a nuke bunker with super spikes still on as i completely destroy the spikes on the crete, as nothing matters at that point.

Another excellent point- two, actually. I agree with both.
