I will look into that. It appears U of Michigan got rid of their running camp? Does anyone know if that true? The last thing they have posted in a covid warning from 2020.

Jezus, where was this place when I was young! Can I go?
Then i see your point, but there are cases where the top high schooler has absolutely no one close to him and probably should be doing different workouts to keep progressing them selves.
Has staff still there for many decades, one of the best experiences my kids have had and they have had three Footlocker Champions attend the camp.
Great camp... just not the same without ole Kermit Ambrose running the show.
Coaches and parents before you recommend a summer camp please make sure its a camp that will support your athletes school or club program. Be advised there are camp programs out there that will try and convince your athlete to 1. purchase their camp training program and 2. If the athlete is good enough will be used as a marketing tool to convince other athletes to join their program ( even if they had limited impact on that athletes success) .. Support the programs that support your athletes home program!

This is so true. Good advice.
Even your coach can attend.
NKRC (Northeast Kingdom Running Camp) in Lyndonville, Vermont is a great one. Scenery is amazing, super fun environment.
I cannot speak for the runner or the family that made the decision to seek out Team Preps program with Coach Trent Sanderson, but you can’t say they ruined their HS running career… that isn’t for you to say. My son went for the entire experience… 42 days in Gunnison/Crested Butte, Colorado. It is very expensive, but if you can do it I say go for it. If you can only afford the 7 days, I say do it. People will blame Coach Trent and make up all kinds of rumors that he takes kids away from their team… so NOT true!! He does not do that, the parents and the athlete make that decision. Also, if they felt they were getting what they needed from their HS then they wouldn’t need to go elsewhere. That is the experience my son is in. Coach Trent does not make anyone do anything… my son continues to run for his school. But when the school has no opportunities to run at Arcadia or other meets that are looked at as more national type meets, then you do what you have to do as a parent for your child to reach the goals they have for themselves. It isn’t personal and I wish coaches would stop making it personal. Coach Trent’s resume speaks for itself, he is the real deal and Team Prep USA has been the best experience for our son. It doesn’t just make you a better runner, it changes their life. My son didn’t want to come home because it was the most positive team environment he has ever experienced.
If you're looking for something on the East Coast - let me recommend my favorite XC Camp - The Without Limits XC Camp in Banner Elk, NC. Experienced coaches. Scenic mountain runs. Quality athlete. Camp 3K race. Lots of fun and games. The athletes that attend always want to come back over and over. It is a hidden gem of a camp!
