Anything can happen on any given day, but results in February have zero significance in the long term scheme of the season. Last year Jakob lost to Tefera in the World Indoor 1500. Tefera didn't even make it to the final in World Outdoor. For some reason people love to hype fast times and competitions that don't matter.
Just because it happened in February doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Running 3:47.38 with a 25.8 last 200 is a great indicator of one’s ability to run 3:47.38 with a 25.8 last 200, which is exciting for Nuguse fans. Here’s hoping he can be in similar or even better form come summer.
