Working is modern day slavery. You slave away for 40+ hours a week and the majority of people are still dead broke at the end of the week. That is slavery.

They're fighting the good fight. What happens if they move back? The poor realty conglomerate that owns half the town doesn't get their rent? The poor utility company doesn't get to open another contract? The poor insurance company loses a sale because your friend isn't in a unit forcing him to get renter's insurance? Your poor friend is stuck living with the two people who love him the most in the entire world while saving money and helping his aging parents with household chores.

Most of our societal ills would be healed if we stayed with our families more. Your friends sound cool to me.

It's usually not as simple as a person is lazy.

You might want to consider that no one really wants to move back in with their parents, etc. It's an act of capitulation. They are probably depressed, demotivated, and discouraged. How about be a friend, and reach out?

The lousy thing is that the way you speak about your so-called friends on this anon message board suggests that your m.o. is to judge them in order to feel superior to them, rather than to support them. Hope that's not the case.
