Track and track fans: let's integrity ourselves into irrelevance!
NFL, NBA, Soccer leagues and fans: Uh, yeah, go for it. We are just lucky not to have those issues, our athletes promised they've got a lot of integrity.
Keep it up, we're doing great!
Assuming he doped, I'd love to know when this doping started. He was a star in 2019 and a key member of the 2019 Texas Tech title team. Could they possibly be stripped of the title? I guess it's highly unlikely to back date it unless he confessed .
Ran 9.86 and 19.73 to lead Tech to the title and never ran faster.
Another cheating stick figure falls to the justice system.
Take that, Q-Tip!!
Here is our article on the developments.
Will there be any fallout for coach Rana Reider and all the stars he coached like Andre De Grasse, Trayvon Bromell, Omar McLeod, and Adam Gemili?
Connecting this to Adam Gemili would be weird considering he has literally not improved at all under Reider (and in fact got worse). Based on my reading of the facts I don't think that this was part of Rana's program or anything (Eric Lira is not connected to Tumbleweed, and is from El Paso, however I don't know whether he knew or not. What I do know is that the Tumbleweed teammates didn't know, taken from Daryll Neita's thoughts about the situation in her interview which were very strong, following which Blessing herself dragged Neita on Twitter in a series of tweets, suggesting they actually didn't know.
Can you please explain a little more what you said. Maybe link to the Neita interview? What did Blessing say about it?
Do you think anyone has ever run under 9.9 clean?
this is a pretty big story.
explains why he hasn’t run anything fast as a pro. must have been doping his ass off in 2019.
If this was the case, what would the explanation for his performances dropping off be, considering that he was caught with the drugs as a pro?
Especially considering that Blessing definitely improved from this doping incident, having a slightly windy 10.6 right before Tokyo!
There is something to be said about doping in college though, but I'm not sure it's this case since Eric Lira, the dealer, has more links to UTEP (where Okagbare attended) than Texas Tech (where Oduduru attended)
Practically uncontrolled doping in college, followed by reduced doping as pro to avoid testing positive. Evidence for the latter: see FBI + AIU and the fact that he never tested positive.
Cases like his also show how weak the testing is if the athlete is cautious: IGF and HGH and EPO for crying out loud.
I think it's safe to say Divine's doping began in college, at Texas Tech, under Blessing's guidance. She was an assistant coach at Tech when Divine was running there, and I know that they were on fairly close terms during that time, with Blessing playing something of a mentorship role for Divine. It's hard to avoid the conclusion she was providing him with drugs that led him to his national titles. It's a sad state of affairs, but college athletes/programs really do need to be tested with a lot more scrutiny.
A lot of you don’t understand, but this stuff kills the sport. This is the second reason why some of the best sprinters go into the NFL and look at track as a college and high school hobby. The first being lack of money In track. Why become a professional sprinter trying to beat other doped up athletes, who are running in the shadows of doped up records (2007 10.03 2008 9.69 chest thump).? Why not just try to be a mediocre NFL running back or corner back getting paid $800,000 a year, instead of being 6th fastest sprinter in the world constantly trying to avoid anti doping while battling other doped up athletes? Why not make 6 figures high in the NFL with no drug testing and retire a millionaire while being an assistant coach for some high school or even college ? You understand me ? Just leave these athletes alone. So what if they have some synthetic hormones in their house! Who are they hurting ?! FBI has nothing better to do sometimes
Why not run track and keep your brain from melting out of your ears?
The anti-doping agencies need to come down HARD on these athletes. Ban them for life and fine them for 50% of their total lifetime earnings as a pro athlete.
It sounds harsh, but the only way to fix the issue is to discourage people from doping with SEVERE consequences. Catching people and suspending them isn't enough because they still make money from doped up performances.
People are hush about the mass exodus of athletes from the Tumbleweed Camp.
When will the gofundme page protesting his innocence be created by the site owner for his defense or is this something only done for white american athletes?
