That disciplinarian approach may work with the disadvantaged chip on their shoulder kids, but no way in hell that approach is gonna work on the rich Boulder CU football guys. This should be fun.
Yeah I get it. A lot of the guys he will recruit from other parts of the country, but most of the roster will be from the suburbs of CO. Good luck with that.
He will go 6-6 for a year or two, then jump ship. Coaching at the fbs level actually requires intelligence, and I don't think he has tons of that. He's mostly about show, cheap talk, and bling.
While I don't disagree that his tenure will probably end in failure or him leaving for a better/different job before achieving success at Colorado, you are very wrong about 2 different things.
#1, it is way way easier to be an authoritarian/disciplinarian coach with middle to upper class kids. Try doing that with kids who grew up with less father figures, more violence, and less structured high school coaching and you are not going to have a good time.
#2 and more importantly, power conference schools with any draw (which Prime Time brings to CU) don't need to recruit anyone from the local area if they don't want to. He could have a roster constructed from only deep south and LA kids if that's what he wants.
When has Sanders ever failed at anything? This will be no different he will improve Colorado football and the locals will be thrilled to have him. This guy is a winner and that is plain to see.
He will bring in a whole other level of talent, a level never seen in Boulder before. By year three of Sanders tenure look for the Buffalo's to be contending for that PAC12 title.

Based on what?
Listening to him talk? Have you ever heard Donald Trump talk? He sounds like an idiot. After hearing Dion talk, since being hired at Colorado, he (in a very different way) simply doesn't speak intelligently.

He failed big time with the two Prime time Charter Schools in Dallas and Ft.Worth. He left those kids hanging. He failed at his marriage. Cheating. He failed in his summer league teams that use to go to L.A. and play Snoopdogs team. He brought kids that couldn't play but had great looking moms. OK, that may not be a full fail. But he's a failure.

I think you are confusing 'doesn't sound white' with 'doesn't sound intelligent.'
Listening to him talk, he sounds quite intelligent.
