Addy Wiley is now #2 in the nation in the mile after only one race. Tuohy did not run this fast until May of her sophomore year at ACCs. Comparison of college miles (converted 1500s):
4:24.26 Tuohy - Junior - indoor
4:26.59 Tuohy - Sophomore - outdoor
4:27.70 Wiley - HIGH SCHOOL Senior - outdoor
4:32.15 Wiley - Freshman - indoor (converts to 4:29.48)
4:32.73 Tuohy - Freshman - outdoor
4:32.79 Tuohy - Sophomore - outdoor
4:33.73 Tuohy - Freshman - outdoor
4:34.92 Tuohy - Freshman - outdoor
4:37.30 Tuohy - Freshman - outdoor
4:41.39 Tuohy - Freshman - outdoor
4:41.50 Tuohy - Sophomore - outdoor
4:44.55 Tuohy - Freshman - outdoor
Coaches Roark and Neideck have Wiley off to an amazing start. Maybe Tyynismaa should have transferred to Huntington; she may have been in the same race as Wiley today (she was on the same track, but certainly not in the same race). Somebody better call the fire department and a waaaaaaaaaambulance because there is an out of control Wileyfire raging across the nation! Gonna see a 4:06 or faster 1500 in the spring as a freshman! Tuohy will be a better 5000 runner but Wiley will be the queen of the 1500. The future of American milers looks bright - and her name is ADDY WILEY!
