US killed far more innocent people in Iraq (which is occupied by the US), Syria (US occupies @ 1/3rd of that nation), Libya, Somalia, Yemen (with the Saudis), Afghanistan than Russia has killed in Ukraine. Far more. You think those nations are better off? Holy Cow

Russia should be banned from the Olympics until the regime change happens in Moscow. So definitely out for 2024, possibly 2028.

The bombs saved an estimated 1 million Allied casualties and several million Japanese casualties. An invasion would have left the entire nation in ruins. I'm still waiting for a "Thank you for dropping the bomb" from the Japanese government.

China should be banned from #Paris2024 for the forced housing of army troops in the homes of Uygur families. It's Tatar, not Tartar. And there are very few Tatars left in Crimea because the Russians deported most of the Tatar population during WWII, killing at least 8,000 in the process and sending hundreds of thousands into exile in Siberia and Central Asia where tens of thousand died. Olympic boycotts only end up hurting the athletes involved. The 1980 boycott was a bad idea, but it was at least understandable because the games were held in Moscow. Boycotting the games when they are held at an ally's country (France) is more cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Absolutely ridiculous to mix sport and politics. Why don't you poll the athletes instead of the idiots running the federations? I bet a vast majority just want to compete. The only reason for a ban of athletes ought to be doping violations. Banning an entire nation is just stupid.
