Looks like Centro is headed downunder. Racing an 800m, mile, and 3k. I don't see him winning any of those based on no current form. He did win the gold 8 years ago.

Centro actually won gold about 6.5 years ago.
Hope they didn't pay too much for this has-been.

If anything it's time for him to read the writing on the wall and try to move up in distance or concede to the new talent and retire. And self coaching doesn't help either.
Why does the title say planned? Is he not anymore?

Was thinking the same thing. Also, wouldn't it be weird if he accidentally raced in Australia?
I think he will surprise a lot of people here. I like his chances best in the 3k, as long as he can stay healthy.
maybe the plan isn't to go scalping races, maybe the plan is to get sharp for WC's...
Sounds like fun. Good for Centro.
He's continuing his retirement tour of the last 5 years.

Including making the Olympic team in 2021 and a 3:49 mile. Now THAT is a retirement tour we should all hope for!

He often comes down to Australia around about now, he usually scratches. I went out to one of those meets, but he sadly wasn't there.
Stuff Bol was using is on special.

The guy has an Olympic gold medal and he's on the backend of his career. If he wants to go to Australia and race kangaroos more power to him.
If someone offered you a free trip to Australia and all you had to do is run about 3.4 miles (say about 13 to 14 minutes work), would you do it?
The Southern Hemisphere is currently in summer season, so it's a way to race outside in good weather during the Northern Hemisphere winter season
