I’ve been seeing/hearing a lot of elite runners using “double thresholds” in their training. Maybe I’m naive but I’m curious what this exactly would look like (what a typical training week and more specifically what the workouts would be). I’ve also heard that it’s important to test blood lactate levels during these workouts to ensure you’re not going too fast or hard, but what should blood lactate levels look like on a day to day basis and in different workouts?
