You could have said something about how there is a rampant doping problem among East African athletes, including among the running disapora, and how the 'natural born runner' myth is used to disguise it.
Without casting doubt on Bol’s innocence, as someone who has followed athletics for years I believe it would be naïve for anyone to assume that all Australian athletes are clean
So a Sudanese guy handpicked from a refugee camp by a coach who believes Peter Snell's 800m 1:44 on grass is overrated, and who has just been popped for EPO, is probably innocent, but every other Australian runner must be viewed with scepticism?

The East African 'natural born runner' isn't a myth. You're just ignorant.

Is that what you're saying here?
Not at all. I am saying there may be the temptation for those few Aussie athletes at the top to cheat. Saying anything else, because it sounds so nice, would be simply bs.

Thanks for demonstrating the link between doping apologists and the promotion of the 'natural born runner' myth.

You're staring into the abyss. There is another side to this you are missing. Take your blinkers off.
Well somebody who escaped his life in a refugee camp by being talent scouted by a believer in East African genetics, might have a greater temptation to dope than say McSweyn or Hoare?
Bol's case says more about East African doping than it does about any doping problem in Australia. Funny when guys like Bol and Farah are winning its used as evidence of some supposed genetic advantage East Africans possess, but when they get popped it's about Australian or British doping cultures.
8 of the fastest 13 East African descent 800m runners in 2017 and 2018 have been suspended, and at least two of the remaining five are training parters of busted athletes. 1. Korir (training partner Saruni) 2. Amos (busted SARMS) 3. Wyclife Kinyamal 4. Saruni (evading testing) 5. Jonathan Kitilit 6. Rotich (training partner of Bett) 7. Cornelius Tuwei 8. Kipyegon Bett (busted EPO) 9. Elijah Manangoi (missed tests) 10. Joseph Deng (training partner of Bol) 11. Alfred Kipketer (missed tests) 12. Asbel Kiprop (busted EPO) 13. Peter Bol (busted EPO)
It means you are delusional or dishonest. Sorry but there have been way to many doping busts among East African runners for anyone to buy this crap anymore.

I doubt it. I love track, have so since early 1980s. But I would like to think that I am also a realist. Hence, I offer my perspective, whether it is flawed or not.
As i tried to explain, the drug culture in Australia was evident a long time ago, and I doubt that it has diminished entirely in a sport where tenths of a second can make a difference.
If there are loopholes with testing, you can bet a few smart aussies would be all over it, just like in any western country.

I am simply referring to the Aussie situation. I just happen to be one of the few Aussies that don't rule out the possibility that some may cheat. If Peter Bol gets a negative B sample, that is his problem to explain. My article is not about Bol's guilt or innocence. It is about the possibility that Aussies may still be tempted to cheat.

If you're really anti-doping you would understand what I'm trying to tell you. It's important to understand what you're really getting into here and to listen to the best science which has been around for a very long time. But you have been unaware of it all your life.
