So you have nothing intelligent to say? No actual objection besides vague non sequiturs
I'll bet a million dollars she doesn't go pro because nothing happens in the fall and she'll get a lot more exposure winning another national championship in cross country
She'll stay in college at least through spring of 2024?
Valbys not really competition, tuohy will improve a lot more, I mean even this time was way off the charts of what valby is close to... Tuohy can out kick her to easy
Run the 1500, and do the 1500-800 double at ACCs I bet she could win it?!
Mary Cain had issues above and beyond "developing her speed."
Valby is competition for Tuohy in the 5k.
No guarantee that Tuohy will run xc in fall 2023. If she has a great spring, she might go pro.
Please contact Tuohy's coach with your "drop the 5k" idea and let us know how the conversation goes. I would love to hear her coach's reaction.

My objection is that your idea that Touhy should drop the 5k is a dumb idea.
But if you are so convinced that her dropping the 5k is a good move, and that none of us can figure that out, and that you are the only one with this amazing insight, then you should definitely contact Tuohy's coach and educate her on how to coach Tuohy. Because you apparently know more about what's best for Tuohy that her coach does.
Katelyn Tuohy will break Karissa Schweizer's NCAA indoor 3000 meter record at Millrose in two weeks.
Very possible given today's result. I just hope she has someone to run with/behind given that Monson will be on sub-8:30 pace. What's Karissa's record, 8:41-42?

I agree with this. Tuohy is practically at 1980s great Doina Melinte's indoor level at a few years younger. She has an amazing future ahead.
5 It was up agaisnt pro runners that are training at altitude
6 She's just 20 years old
Tuohy runs pretty solid times without altitude training which makes me very excited once she turns pro and train at altitude. You should add her form in the list on why this record was impressive. Tuohy looked unbelievably strong and smooth, pure poetry in motion!
OAC's Alicia Monson won the race in 4:23.55, just ahead of 2021 NCAA XC champ Whittni Morgan. Tuohy's 4:24.26 broke Jenny Simpson's NCAA mile record of 4:25.91 from 2009.

I mentioned on a previous thread. This is the “year of records” for Tuohy.
Wow, incredible previous mention---really went out on a limb there eh? You've got to be like some kind of running savant. I'm just still amazed that you mentioned that before. Just incredible stuff (insert major sarcasm).
