His last season was 6 years ago and he never broke 9.95. Its not happening at the pro level again. Maybe him and Tyreek Hill are finally gonna stop talking and actually race a 40.
Too late to matter. Maybe he needs money but he cannot compete with the best anymore.
Hate to agree, but he hasn't done any track training for like 5 years now and he's turning 37 this year.
Yup agreed. At 36-37 the only hope Bolt has now is to win a World Masters title lol. I'd say he's more back to training to let off a bit of steam after his financial fraud losses.
Like an old punch drunk boxer who just can't let it go.
Not a good look
But......he was the closest thing to a vistor from another planet I have seen in sports. Who does what he was doing, that's right.....nobody!!!!!!!! A 9.58 100m is alien.
If he truly lost all his money then he has nothing to lose by making a comeback. The drop off in his performance in his last year was likely due to being extra cautious with the PEDs so as to not destroy his legacy. However, I suspect the desire to not be dirt poor again motivates much more than the desire to have a pristine legacy. For many, better to be a rich villain than a poor saint.
With that, I predict gold at the 2024 Olympics in the 100m, but not the 200m.
could Usain get back to competitive form. after so long out? Seems unlikely, but would be fun for spectators if he could do a "retired band, having fun" tour

I don't remember there being a law that if Bolt came back, he would have to run the 100 and 200 again. I don't think he could compete at a top level again in those events either. But what about the 400? With his stride length and physicality and proper training, who knows? Endurance runners generally last longer at the higher levels of the sport and while the 400 is hardly an endurance event, there is an aerobic component that is higher than the 100 or 200. I always wanted to see Bolt train for and contest a 400 (maybe even an 800). Perhaps it is not too late to see that.
