My WAG is 4:28 and 8:43. 4:30 or slower and/or 8:48 or slower would I think be a disapointment.

Based on the conversion from her 1500 time, that places in the 4:25 mile range. Of course that was an outdoor 400m track vs. a 200m banked track. If her legs are feeling good (and she has had plenty of rest) it could be close.

Anyone know if the mile will have a pacer?

They usually have them - the M mile had a pacer last year, and the W 3000 is 2019 had a pacer for sure.

I don't like this reply, but as a Tuohy fan, this is uncomfortably correct. Tuohy does get disappointed on occasions where her time doesn't reflect her training. Now we don't know what her current training indicates for the mile and 3000m but what we know is that her 4:06 indicates 4:25-26.

Let me be more clear, the disapointment I mention I think would be her disapointment (ie not mine). Others have said she talked her coach into this mile so she must feel she is ready to run pretty fast. I think she is faster than Markezich and McCabe at both 1500 and 5000 and they ran 8:50 right after XC season off a 8:55 ish paced race I believe. I would think she thinks she should go well under 8:50.

In her citius interview after the BU 5k she said she was hoping to run sub 8:50 this season.

I think anything under 8:50 would be great so I'll say 8:49. For the mile tougher to predict, a lot depends on how the race unfolds. If it fast sub 4:30. If more tactical 4:30 - 4:32.

Like others posted I think she is capable of 4:25/6 based on the 4:06 time, but doubtful we will see that this weekend I guess.

Interesting invitational 3000M at Dr Sanders Mia Barnett, Steelman, Boremon. I don’t recall Mia running a 3000m in college.
