How many more to come?
How many more to come?
Wondering if they'll aim to replace all of the departures or a smaller team makes sense to them with the U-Oregon coaching duties.
After his incredible breakout season in 2019 I haven’t heard anything about this guy, though it looks like he still improved a bit with BTC. Assuming he’s going back to Powell?
I mean he made the Olympics in 2021 and ran his 1500m PR of 3:35.2, but agreed he didn't have the best 2022.
Maybe Jordan Hasay needs to return to Eugene.
Sailor Jerry's ship is sinking, but as least he still has Shelby.
What a mess they made of the team they took so long to build. All to shield a drug cheat.
Honest question, how many people have left since Shelby got banned. Anyone have a list? I can’t keep count
The amount of talent turnover in this situation is crazy.
Departures since January 2021:
Kate Grace, Colleen Quigley, Emily Infeld, Vanessa Fraser , Sinclaire Johnson, Gabriela DeBues-Stafford, Lucia Stafford, Marielle Hall, Gwen Jorgensen, Ryan Hall, Matt Centrowitz, Marc Scott, Amos Bartelsmeyer, and rumoured but not confirmed Woody Kincaid.
Obviously some of those are duds, but if you could make a pretty great pro team out of that group. Dependent on Grace returning to 2021 form post baby, a team of Grace, Infeld, Johnson, GDS + sister on the women's side would arguably be the best pro women's team in North America. I say arguably, not definitely, but that's a very solid team.
Depending on Centro's injury bounce back, a men's team of Centro, Scott, Kincaid and Bartlesmeyer would be not as strong as OAC or current BTC, but still one of the better men's groups out there.
Current mens BTC roster. Fisher, Mcgorty, Jaeger, Teare, Thompson with Lopez and Moh both MIA
Tuntivate is still there on the men’s side for what’s it worth. Lopez hasn’t been in any photos in a long time, but Moh was in a bunch of photos/videos posted at the end of last year doing workouts in Eugene on various Instagram stories, but he hasn’t been in any of the flagstaff Instagram content from this month
Ratcliffe is still around as well
Thomas Ratcliffe is also on the team still. Moh was training with them in the fall, not sure why he wasn't with them in those photos of their flag workout pretty sure he is still on the team. Not sure about Lopez tho he is getting up there in age so wouldn't be surprised if he moved on or switched to the marathon.
Yeah just saw Tuntivate and Ratcliffe on their instagram. Women are down to just Karissa and Cranny because Frerichs is coming back from surgery.
Lopez is 38, probably doesn't want to uproot his life to go to Eugene in the twilight of his career. Also may be up on his Nike contract, always an exodus in January
Yes. What a stupid decision to keep supporting that doper with obvious lies, and letting her train with the team. Unless of course she has all the dirt on a number of people, then they have to appease her at such costs.
Aragon is also still on the women's side. I'm not sure what's up with Seccafien, as she seems to live in Australia most of the year, but according to her Instagram account she's still with them.
I believe Fraser is still on the team but trains remotely in San Francisco. She is still listed on their website and she moved to SF probably a year ago. If she was no longer on the team, I would think her bio would be taken down by now.
On the LetsRun podcast Pete Julian said a new guy is joining this week.
Nike has changed as a company. They're no longer being lead by an old guard Nike guy who cares about running, they're being lead by a soulless Wall Street CEO who cares only about profits. As a result, their professional training groups are not receiving the support they once did and are disintegrating. The elite sides of Oregon Track Club and Bowerman Track Club are dead and dying.
